What To Expect? (3 Workouts, 1 Educational Workshop & Epic Music Vibes!)

1) 3 Workouts- All Fitness Levels Welcome
The event includes 3 workouts for you to get involved in. 2 of these workouts will be released prior to the event. The format will be accessible for all fitness levels (newbies or advanced lifters will be challenged….in a good way)!

2) Educational Workshop- "Behaviour Change"
Coach Hannah will be delivering an educational workshop around the topic of behaviour change and relating this to fitness & nutrition.This is a topic she did for her MSc Sport Nutrition degree thesis and knows exceptionally well.

3) Epic Music Vibes For You To Workout To!
A carefully curated playlist with speakers loud enough to pump you up! Find that extra level within your workout with the epic music vibes that I am going to bring you!

4) Merchandise/Goody Bags
‘Burgon Fitness’ merchandise will be available to purchase at a discounted rate (you will receive an event discount code for any online purchases if you want to secure your order beforehand and buy online). It is THE merchandise that motivates! You will also receive a goody bag!
Workout 1- Celebrating Simone Biles (Watch Video)
Seven exercises to celebrate her 7 Gold Medals . 30 secs of work to celebrate her 30 World Championship medals.
THE WORKOUT- 30 Secs On/15 Secs Rest. 3 Sets Per Exercise. 7 Exercises In Total:
Wall Balls/ Rowing/ Squats (Goblet)/ Ball Slams/ Kettlebell Deadlifts/ Shoulder To Overhead/ Ski Erg
Scalable options available. All fitness levels welcome.
Workout 1 celebrates the influential ‘Simone Biles’, who not only has 7 Olympic Gold Medals and 30 World Championship Medals, but who also advocates for mental health. She is someone who is inspiring to many people with her story of resilience off the back of hardship that she has faced.

Here is your ‘Women’s Fitness Event’ schedule (note, these are approximate timings and are subject to change):
1pm- Arrivals
1.15pm- Workout 1
1.45pm- Workshop (Topic TBC)
2.10pm-Workout 2
2.30pm- Workout 3
3pm- Goodbyes/Summary
Each workout theme is based off a woman in sport who has overcome gender stereotypes. This will be announced alongside the workout.
Note; there will be time for a break in-between workouts

There will be a range of workouts (strength and cardio based). Each workout will be named after an influential woman in sport. The workouts will be tough and challenging, but do-able. You will feel a sense of achievement post workout. All fitness levels welcome!

Workout 2- 29th August
Workout 3- A hint will be sent on the 26th September in the form of a riddle.

Where’s the fun in that?
I want some things to remain unknown as that adds to the excitement of the event. However, I also want you to see workout 1 and 2 ahead of time, so that you can see they are do-able and don’t talk yourself out of the event!

No! I pride myself in my ability to cater for all fitness levels. The workouts will be programmed so as to allow individuals to workout at their own pace/fitness level. This means that you will get a good workout whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced level!

Yes of course! Not all workouts will be long ones. Work at an intensity you feel comfortable at! It is as hard/as easy as you want to make it! If you do need to sit out for one of the workouts then that’s also totally fine.

No not at all! Only if you want to! Would be good to have some discussions going, but I can steer the conversation if no one wants to contribute.

There is parking available outside Pyramid Performance (FREE). If it is full, you can park on the kerbs (as long as you aren’t blocking in one of the nearby businesses). The dance studio (Debut Studios) (just right, before the end of the one way road will also be available to park in).
If there are no parking spaces outside pyramid or in the dance studio there is a FREE car park on Albert Street. This is the next right after the turning for West Street (which pyramid is on).

Yes, there are changing facilities and showers, but we only have 2 showers. Therefore, I recommend you shower at home post event where possible.

It’s a surprise. Hint- you will be able to eat/drink it!

Tickets are non-refundable/exchangeable. You’d be missing out if you don’t come, so don’t be talking yourself out of it!

Yes. We have a section at the gym that your child can sit and watch (providing they don’t disrupt the event). Please note that the child is your responsibility.
