What To Expect? (2 Workouts, 1 Q&A & Epic Music Vibes!)

  • 1) 2 Workouts- All Fitness Levels Welcome

    Workout 1- Be the first to try out a BRAND NEW Hybrid fitness concept, that includes NO RUNNING! Do this with a partner or on your own. Workout 2 will be a ‘finisher’. All fitness levels welcome.

  • 2) Q&A

    Your chance to ask Coach Hannah anything regarding training, mindset or nutrition. Hannah has a BSc Sport Science degree and an MSc Sport Nutrition degree and will be using her knowledge to answer your questions!

  • 3) A Live DJ For You To Workout To!

    Workout alongside a LIVE DJ! Find that extra level within your workout with the epic music vibes that our DJ is going to bring you!

Workout 1- Hybrid 3:1

“The No- Running Hybrid Fitness Test”!

THE WORKOUT (can be done solo or doubles with a partner). Doubles takes on a YGIG (You Go I Go) format.

Your aim is max reps/distance in a 3 minute window. You will then have a 1 minute rest before moving onto the next station. There are two blocks (an upper and a lower), comprising of 4 exercises. See below.

3 Mins Max / 1 Min Rest:

  • Ski (metres)

  • Alternating Muscle Snatch (reps) (INPUT WEIGHT)

  • 10kg Plate Shoulder To Overhead (reps)

  • Hand Release Push Ups (reps)

  • Row (metres)

  • 10kg Sandbag Reverse Alternating Lunges (reps)

  • 20kg Plated Deadlift (reps)

  • Burpee To Plate (reps)

WORKOUT 2

Workout 2 will consist of a ‘finisher’ and will take place following the ‘Q&A’.

  • Workout 1 (Hybrid 3:1) has been released. Scroll up to read what this entails. Workout 2 will follow the Q&A and will be suitable for all fitness levels.

  • Yes, workout 1 (Hybrid 3:1) has been announced. Workout 2 will be a secret (but in the best way!). Don’t be put off. This event is suitable for all fitness levels.

  • There are people who hate running, but want to have a ‘focus’ with their training to work towards an event. At the moment, most Hybrid events are running only and completely disregards a market of people who want to test their fitness (but not run).

  • I want to create a hybrid fitness test with no running, but before I do so I want to pilot it and gain some feedback. I will then tweak the concept until I am happy with the format. The idea would be to host this same event throughout the year so that people can ‘retest’ themselves.

  • No! I pride myself in my ability to cater for all fitness levels. The workouts are programmed so as to allow individuals to workout at their own pace/fitness level. This means that you will get a good workout whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced level!

  • No not at all! If I get no questions then I will just talk about an educational topic that I feel you will all benefit from. You will come away from it learning something.

  • There is parking available outside Pyramid Performance (FREE). If it is full, you can park on the kerbs (as long as you aren’t blocking in one of the nearby businesses). The dance studio (Axis Performing Arts) (just right, before the end of the one way road will also be available to park in).

    If there are no parking spaces outside pyramid or in the dance studio there is a FREE car park on Albert Street. This is the next right after the turning for West Street (which pyramid is on).

  • Yes, there are changing facilities and showers, but we only have 2 showers. Therefore, I recommend you shower at home post event where possible.

  • Tickets are non-refundable/exchangeable. You’d be missing out if you don’t come, so don’t be talking yourself out of it!

  • Yes. We have a section at the gym that your child can sit and watch (providing they don’t disrupt the event). Please note that the child is your responsibility.
