Hybrid Fitness Events (that are not Hyrox)

Bare with me. There is a lot of text on this blog, but it is super useful for anyone interested in hybrid fitness events.

Hybrid fitness is taking the fitness world by storm. I have compiled a list of hybrid fitness events (including dates) so that you can get one booked and get training for one ! I offer programmes to get you ready to compete at these events ! Most listed below are located North, but there are multiple locations and so click the links for more info.


5th April 2025- DEKA Mile & DEKA Strong (Crosstraining Clitheroe and other locations)

DEKA Mile consists of 10 zones and a 1 mile run. DEKA Strong consists of 10 zones and no running. Zones consists of 30 ram alternating lunges, 500m row, 20 box jump/step overs, 25 med ball sit up throw, 500m ski erg, 100m farmer carry, 25kcal air bike, 20 dead ball wall over, 100m tank push/pull and 20 ram burpees.

DEKA mile is 160m runs prior to each station.

31st May- Wild Hybrid Manchester (Tatton Park)

This event combines trail running and strength training. You will do a 1km trail run prior to each of these stations; 50 SANDBAG SQUATS (M-30kg, F 20kg), 20 ATLAS STONES OVER WALL (M- 50kg, F-30kg), 50 KB DEADLIFTS (M 2 24kg, F 2 20kg), 100metres of FARMERS CARRYS (Jerry Cans M-2 x 20kgs F -2 x 16kgs), 50 DOUBLE DUMBBELL STOH – SHOULDER TO OVERHEAD (M- 2 x 22.5kgs F – 2 x 15kgs Scaled 2 x 10kgs). Finish with a 5km trail run.

6th and 7th June- The Hybrid Games (Liverpool Exhibition Centre)

SOLO 600m run prior to each of the following; 50kcal assault bike, 100 wall balls (M 6kg, F4kg), 1000m row, 80m Burpee Jump, 50 DB Snatch (M20kg/F10kg), 100m Lunges (M20kg/F10kg), 200m Farmer Carry (M24kg, F16kg), 1000m Ski, 60m Sled Push (M152kg, F102kg) and 200m sprint to finish.

DOUBLES- 100kcal bike, 100 db snatch and 90m push. Everything else as above.

21st June- Hybrid Games NW 4.0 (Blackstone Street Warehouse Liverpool)

SOLO 600m run prior to each of the following; 50kcal assault bike, 100 wall balls (M 6kg, F4kg), 50kcal row, 100m Burpee Jump, 100m Lunges (M20kg/F10kg), 100 DB Snatch (M20kg/F10kg), 200m Farmer Carry (M48kg, F32kg), 1000m Ski, 60m Sled Push (M100kg, F60kg) and 200m sprint to finish.

DOUBLES- double on bike, row , lunges and 90m on push.

Both The Hybrid Games and Hybrid Games NW 4 are very similar in format. My assumption is that 4.0 is the new version.

7th June 2025 & 13thSept 2025- Deadly Dozen (Macclesfield Athletics Track)

Deadly Dozen consists of 12 journeys (runs) and 12 labours (exercises). The runs are 400m at a time prior to each exercise listed below.

Exercises are; 240m farmer carry (M 2 24kg, F 2 16kg), 60 Reps Kettlebell Deadlift (M 32kg, F 24kg), 60m DB Lunge (M 2 12.5kg, F 2 7.5kg), 60 DB Snatch (M 1 15kg, F 1 9kg), 60m Burpee Broad Jump, 60 KB Goblet Squat (M 1 16kg, F 1 12kg), Front Carry (m 25kg, F 20kg) 60 DB Push Press (M 2 12.5kg, F 2 6kg), 120m bear crawl, 60 WP Clean & Press (M 15kg, F 10kg), 180m Overhead Carry (M 15kg, F 10kg), 20 Devil Press (M 2 10kg, F 2 5kg).

30-31st August - Athx (Birmingham & Around UK)

Athx comprises of various zones to test strength, endurance and metcon (conditioning). It is a non stop 2.5 hour fitness challenge. The easiest thing to do re this one is visit the website linked below for more info as there are various different categories and formats.

28th September- Conquer Fitness Level Seven (Alderney Park, Macclesfield)

Seven levels, Seven Workouts, Seven 450m Runs. This looks like a really good event and I have had good feedback from people who have done it. Exercises include; Rowing, D Ball Over Shoulder, D Ball Box Step Overs, Wall Balls, Ski, Sandbag Lunge, Bike Erg, Farmer Carry, Dumbbell Devil Press (single) and Tractor Tyre Flip.
