ON YOUR BIKE, GOOGLE: MY CYCLE TO LYME PARK!

If I had believed Google last week, then I wouldn’t have gone on my bike ride.

I had 1.5 hours spare until I had to start getting ready for work and I really fancied a cycle to Lyme Park (if you haven’t been- go!). Located just outside Buxton, it is home to deer and beautiful views (see my instagram @hannahburgon_pt for pics- cheeky plug in haha).

Anyway, Google told me it would take 58mins there and 58mins back, taking just under 2 hours. If I had believed Google I wouldn’t have gone, because Google was telling me I’d be late for work if I did, but I saw it as a challenge. I wanted to out- do Google.

In fact, it took me 35mins there and 30mins back (take that, Google!). Don’t take what Google says as a fact, because if I had, I wouldn’t have released my endorphins on my bike ride and would probably have ended up less motivated at work.

Google is an amazing platform for many things. BUT:

> Don’t Google your illnesses, see a doctor.

> Don’t Google things like ‘How can I be happier?’, ‘How can I be more motivated?’. Find out for yourself!

> Don’t believe what Google says regarding what workouts you should be doing. Dictate your own workouts. Be your own experiment and remember…always do things that make you happy.
